What is data Locking?

When you are buying memory sticks and plan to have your company brochure stored on them, its often a good idea to lock this data onto the Flash Drives.  When we lock your data so it cannot be deleted by the user.  This date is stored on a separate partition of the Flash Drive and can also be set to auto run when the drive is inserted into the computer.

When would I choose not to lock my Data?

If your brochure or data upload is above 80% of the capacity of the Flash Drives then we recommend not locking the data to the drive.  The reason being is that you want your customers to be able to use the drives that you have provided them with to store their own data.

How do I lock data to a USB Drive?

Data locking onto Flash Drives needs to be done at source at our factory as the technology to complete this process needs both hardware and software to interact with the invisible partition that is created on the USB Memory Stick.
